Betty Ann’s Place Identity
My friend’s mother makes some of the best soul food I’ve ever devoured. So, when she finally opened her first restaurant I jumped at the opportunity to create the identity for her new venture, Betty Ann’s Place—named for the family matriarch who passed down the recipes and culinary prowess.
The Betty Ann’s Place menu was crafted to invoke the nostalgic comfort of home, the warmth of community, and kinship. With those ideals in mind, I set out to create an identity that pays reverence to Black-owned southern restaurants of the past while forging a flavorful path forward.
